Cardinal 10 Surface Protection
Cardinal 10 Surface Protection uses state-of-the-art nanotechnology to turn ordinary glass into an easy-clean, non-stick surface that repels both water and oils. It’s a difference you can see as the water “beads” on the glass. With minimal cleaning your treated shower will look like new for well beyond 10 years. The sealed glass cannot be damaged, etched, or stained by minerals, soaps, chemicals, or neglect like other glass. Most cleaning can be done with products already in your home, and Cardinal 10 is available on any of our glass options.

Guardian ShowerGuard
Ordinary glass is prone to damage and aging from hard water, soap, humidity and more. But ShowerGuard glass is extraordinary. It's an entirely different kind of glass that's protected during manufacturing with a patented ion beam process. This technology permanently seals the glass surface, for a shower that stays beautiful forever with just a minimal amount of cleaning. Available in 3/8" clear or 1/2" clear

We even had a client install a glass top on a unit to create a steamer enclosure in a room with a huge vaulted ceiling.
Towel bars can be installed anywhere, and don't forget the great option of putting a steam vent within a door or panel to provide a way to vent out your enclosure when you are finished showering.

Water Containment
There are those that ask "How well does the enclosure keep water inside the enclosure?" With heavy and cast glass enclosures, there will be small gaps between the door and the glass. In some cases, glass to glass gaps can have a silicone seal, and in some cases you can use vinyl extrusions to help keep water in the shower.
We hope this analogy will help. Let's say you're looking to buy a car. You could choose a solid, reputable American or Japanese car renowned for their day-to-day practicality. This would be a Cardinal or Craftsman Series swing door enclosure for us. These are excellent units and do a good job of helping to keep water in the shower. However, if you're looking for something truly stunning, like an exotic Italian sports car, these look amazing, but you generally have to sacrifice a little in terms of practicality. Yes, there might be a little water escaping your shower, but it's a trade off for the beauty of a heavy glass or cast glass enclosure.
It's a balance between practicality and beauty. Work with your installer to determine the best course for your shower.
